Image uploading is now available. Users can post their own images online and have the option to have their images appear inline or in their own personal gallery.

Fixed an issue with the Smileys and did some minor miscellaneous updates to the site.

I discovered several big problems with the loading of the themes on the site. I've since removed the problem, now doing even more testing.

The unexplained slowdowns seem to only occur during our peak hours (around 8pm to 11pm). I'm checking on it including the possibility that Streamyx might be the cause instead (via international links).

A check via traceroute produces wildly inconclusive results.

In the meantime, I've removed the more 'conventional' smileys and gone for more unique sets which I think are pretty cool. What do you think of them?

I mucked up the accessibility of the forum so that even if you're an authenticated user you'd not be able to view them. I apologize for any inconvenience caused and it should be fixed by noon today.

Now, I know that some of the 'usual' features on most other forum types are not available here, like picture attachment and things like that - but for good reasons..

1. I needed to test them out thoroughly before I can set them in place
2. We're considering a change of servers soon.

and

3. Some of these features requires a PHP Version that this server does not currently support. (See no.2)

Therefore I am withholding these features until the major migration.

We're looking into the possibility of changing to faster servers due to the unexplained slowdowns we're experiencing these past few days. Please stay tuned.

The shoutbox is up but I've yet to get the private messaging working properly. Looks like this feature needs to be delayed.

I've added the ability for some posts to be password protected. At this moment in time, this feature is not available to authenticated users just yet.

We've pretty much set up the forums and its taxonomy and received some very useful feedback.

Next up, we'll be looking at adding private messaging functionality and various other features around the forum.
